Muriel Parra i Ferrer was born in Orlèans, France on the spring of 1978. A self-taught vocational artist, she studied artistic high school on Barcelona and holds four years of bachelor degree at The fine arts at Barcelona ́s University. She initially specialized in oil painting, and is passionate and a devotee of the techniques and research of this discipline. The conceptual basis of her work refers to the origins, roots, and strong expressions of our ties and relationship with the environment, and nature of the Mediterranean culture, through the study of the myth, metaphor and archetype, running alongside the discourse of Beauty.

 She won the XXIII Premi Joan Vilanova of Manresa award in 2016, with a artwork from the project Estudis sobre la Memòria.
